Anomaly 002 - The Information Superhighway

Anomaly Number: 002

Denomination: Grand Median

Containment:

Have a CaMI designated room in at least 4 sites running at all times. Each room should have an CaMI access interface, as well as ███ █████████ ██ ███ ███████. CaMI is programmed to handle the rest.

Description - The Information Superhighway:

The Information Superhighway is the Anomaly Record assigned name for the internet. Why? Because it sounds cool. The Information Superhighway is kept on the Anomaly Record due to its expansiveness and persistence as an uncontrollable system despite the many laws in place. Billions of people access the Information Superhighway every day, with digital tons of information being created every second. Because of this, the Anomaly Record has attempted to monitor the data passed around by creating a system to do just that.

Description - Control and Monitor Intelligence (CaMI):

The Information Superhighway is always expanding, with new websites being made and new devices connected every day. In order to monitor the rapid expansion of the internet, the Anomaly Record has created CaMI, or the Control and Monitor Intelligence. CaMI analyzes every piece of data passed along the Information Superhighway and sends "valuable" data back to the Anomaly Record for storage. While 99.99999998% of the information stored is useless and is promptly discarded, valuable information has been ascertained through the use of CaMI.

Extra:

████ Message to Anomaly Record personell following a minor data breach:

Regarding the Breach

As many of you are aware, there was a data breach in which several classified files were released to the public. As many of you are also aware, the majority of information organized by the Anomaly Record could cause mass hysteria if released. The offender who released the files has been terminated from their position. Remember - keep your information safe. The Information Superhighway is a dangerous tool in the wrong hands. Remember to sign out of public devices, and keep your passwords in the safest vault in the world - your head.
